YARMOUTH, N.S. — Lobster lovers rejoice.
The ninth annual Lobster Splash is underway with dozens of restaurants in the region featuring the popular crustacean in a wide variety of unique dishes until Dec. 22.
Neil Mackenzie, executive director of the Yarmouth & Acadian Shores Tourism Association, says celebrating the lobster industry and motivating people to visit local eateries is important to continue growing the tourism economy.
“Research tells us that visitors to Nova Scotia are looking for lobster, and while this time of year is not typically our busy season in terms of visitors, celebrating lobster and our unique eateries is still worth our efforts.
“Locals love lobster too, and we want to ensure everyone is experiencing lobster in as many delicious ways as possible,” he says.
